AUSTIN -- A woman is uninjured after driving her car into a swimming pool Tuesday morning.
Mary Lee Fine, 86, says someone parked too close to her car Dodge Neon when she tried to get in it around 8 a.m. She decided to get into the car via the passenger side. When she started it, the car took off backwards and hit another vehicle.
The car unexpectedly went into drive and sped through the parking median, through a fence and into the pool.
Witnesses say Fine was smiling and unhurt after being rescued by a good Samaritan. She said the water was warm.
The question still remains, do you think elderly people should be allowed to drive?
