
On the news, they showed the inside of the Washington Monument as the earthquake hit. You could see the building shake and people running for their lives...almost trampling each other.
Do you think that such notable structures like this one or The Statue of Liberty, Mt. Rushmore,The Grand Canyon,etc.,should come equipped with elevators or at least a faster way to exit if such a problem occurs?
How would you feel if you were trapped inside one of these places and could not get out?

Yes. I think that they should have elevators because it would be awful hard to run down all of the steps. I would feel scared if I was in the building when it was hit with an earthquake.

ReplyDeleteI don't think that they should have elevators because in an earth quake they will not be very helpful and they may create a safety risk for the people at the bottom and trap people at the top

I sorta kinda would think it's a good idea to have elevators for faster exit but then again I don't because i wouldn't want the elevators to fail
