Our President spoke to the Congress last night. Please define and describe, in your own words, some of the facts he mentioned:
- "Every child deserves a great school, and we could give it to them if we act now!"
- "We are laying off our teachers in droves, it is unfair to our kids, it undermines their future and ours".
- "Pass this Jobs Bill, and create new jobs for our Veterans, we ask these men and women to leave their careers, leave their families, and risk their lives to fight for our country. The last thing they should have to do is fight for a job when they come home"!
- "Pass this Bill, and hundreds of thousands of disadvantaged young people will have the hope and the dignity of a summer job next year."
- "Pass this Jobs Bill, and companies will get a $4,000.00 tax credit if they hire anyone who spent more than six months looking for a job".
I think when he said " every child deserves a great school and we could give ot to them if we act now" means if people put money into the school that the children will have a better fixed up learning environment and maybe they could get new textbooks and etc. To help teach them
ReplyDelete"The last thing they should have to do is fight for a job when they come home"- I think that is right because last year I went to a building that helps veterns when they come home and are helpless. They give them a home and meals and help them until they can go on their on lives by theirself.

ReplyDeletei beleive every child should atleast have the oppertunity to know what its like to learn new things. evry child deserves a chance. Its not fair to me that kids dont get to charish moments of leraning new and exciting things
I think when he said it's unfair for the kids, I totally agree. Alot of teachers that are getting laid off are some of the BEST teachers.
ReplyDeletei think this was a smart move because it will give them more jobs for the veterans. because it also helps the people that are hiring them so then so that will boost up the economy.Some veterans have been homeless for along time and there barely noticing that there are homless veterans aft er all this time.Obama is barely noticing things that are going around after all this time that he has done much he barely noticed when his time re-elections.
