Gathering of Old Men

In Chapter 3 of a Gathering of Old Men, Candy, Mathu, Rufe, and Johnny Paul have all stated that they killed Beau. Explain who you believe actually killed Beau and why?     i believe Mathu killed Beau. i think he killed him because Beau was dead in the bushes at Mathu's house. Also, i think Mathu done it because he was the first one with the shot gun

    I Believe Mathu Killed Beau,And i think candy is covering for him. Beau was dead in Mathu's Yard And Mathu Was The Only One With A Shotgun At The Time. Everyone Can Tell That Candy Is Covering For Him.

    I believe candy killed him because she said she would kill and stand alone befor she would let anyone hurt her people.

    I believe that Mathu killed Beau and I believed that Candy covered for Mathu because she loves him and doesn't wasnt him to be blamed for the crime.

    Candy doesn't want the policew to arrest Mathu. Beau was lying on the ground next to Mathu, and Mathu was holding a rifle on his lap. So therefore I believed that Mathu killed Beau and that Candy is covering for him.
